Dr. Dawn M. Romano holds an M.Ed. and a Ph.D. in Counseling from the University of New Orleans. 
She has over 25 years experience in the field of education in the roles of administrator, school counselor, and teacher.

Dr. Romano has held the positions of Assistant Professor of School Counseling at the University of San Diego, Director of Counseling and Special Education Services for the University of New Orleans Charter School Network, Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of New Orleans and Louisiana State University, School Counselor and Special Needs Committee Co-Chairperson at Louise S. McGehee and Our Lady of Divine Providence Schools, and Middle School Teacher at St. Philip Neri and Our Lady of the Rosary Schools. Her research interests include school counseling, child and adolescent counseling, legal issues pertaining to Section 504 and IDEA, parent education, test anxiety reduction, play therapy, and counselor supervision. She has published articles in several referred journals. She has served on the executive boards of Chi Sigma Iota Alpha Eta Chapter, the Louisiana Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling, and the Archdiocese of new Orleans Crisis Intervention Team. Dr. Romano is a National Certified Counselor, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Board Approved Counselor Supervisor in Louisiana.
