Autistic Spectrum Disorder
Individuals with ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, and Autism often suffer from being misunderstood, or from misunderstanding the intention of others. Body language, tone of voice, gestures, humor, sarcasm, and nuances may not be interpreted accurately. Consequences may include isolation, loneliness, anxiety, depression, teasing, and bullying. Therapy sessions focus on quality of life issues, social skills training, empathy development, cognitive therapy, and family therapy.
